As part of the $1K/Day Experiment, I’m continuing my monthly Income Reports for Success with Soul about building automated business systems that generate passive income. Today I’m sharing the exact systems that scaled my business to 365 consecutive days of daily sales without social media—including the email marketing automation, recurring revenue tracking, and AI tools that let me make $19K while navigating school events, therapy sessions, and the beautiful chaos of neurodivergent parenting.

Welcome to the 8th installment of my Income Reports—part of The $1K/Day Experiment, my behind-the-scenes journey to making $1,000 per day in passive product sales without relying on social media.
If you’re new here, these reports serve as both a transparency tool and a blueprint for how I’m growing my online business in a way that prioritizes sustainability, alignment, and rest.
May was the month I fell down the Airtable rabbit hole so hard I nearly forgot I had children. (Kidding! Mostly.) Between celebrating 365 consecutive days of daily sales (!!!) and building automations that would make a data nerd weep with joy, I spent most of May proving that sometimes the sexiest thing you can do for your business is… spreadsheets.
If May had a theme, it would be “systems as self-care.” Which sounds like woo woo bullshit until you realize that good systems mean I can make money while my ADHD kid has a meltdown at Target. Revolutionary.
Some days I was heads-down in databases (my happy place), others I was interrupted by school events (May-cember anyone?), therapy sessions, and the general beautiful chaos of raising tiny humans who think ranch dressing is a food group. But through it all? My business kept making money. Every. Single. Day.
Let’s dig into how I made $19,552.62 in May while working around life instead of sacrificing it.
Note: While these posts are public for anyone to read, if you want to get an even deeper look into exactly what I’m doing in my business to make consistent daily sales without ever posting on social media then I invite you to grab your unfiltered backstage pass here.
I’m thrilled to report that May brought both strong revenue and an improved profit margin of 78.3%, up from April’s 76.0%. This increase came despite continued investment in paid advertising and hiring back two of my former employees as contractors, showing that my overall business efficiency is improving.
The most exciting milestone this month was hitting 365 consecutive days of daily sales on May 22nd! That’s an entire year of making money every single day without posting on social media, without high-pressure launches, and without sacrificing my mental health or missing bedtime stories.
This achievement represents SO MUCH more than just revenue—it validates my entire approach to building a sustainable online business. It proves that with the right systems, you can create consistent income that doesn’t require you to be “on” 24/7.
My recurring revenue remained strong at $4,148, with The Room continuing to be a significant recurring revenue driver. The diversity of my income streams—from affiliate commissions to sponsored content (I ran a flash sale for my sponsor spotlights which brought in $2,850) to digital products—provides the stability that allows me to weather any single channel’s fluctuations.
Let’s start with what you all were actually buying this month, because nothing screams “data-driven CEO” like product sales spreadsheets and celebratory snacks (I’m partial to chocolate-covered sea salt pistachios from Trader Joe’s, if you’re curious).
My top sales by product were:
Worth noting: I sold an average of 10 products per day in May.
My top sales by revenue earned were:
Worth noting: I made an average of $516 per day in May, NOT including affiliate and sponsor income. This comes out to an average order value of $51.60.
These are the underdogs that really deserve more credit!

My traffic dipped again, which aligns with my reduced ad spend this month.
The majority of my traffic continues to come from direct sources (primarily email) and Google, with Facebook ads bringing in a steady stream of new visitors as well. I’m particularly pleased to see that my bounce rate remains healthy at 66%, indicating that visitors are finding value in my content.
My top-performing pages were:

Note: this screenshot comes from my dashboard in Kartra.
My email list continued to grow steadily in April, with new subscribers coming primarily from meta ads, bundles/summits and partnerships (I teach this all here).
What’s particularly exciting is that I’m seeing improved engagement from new subscribers. My welcome sequence maintains a 50%+ open rate, and I’m seeing consistent sales from new subscribers within their first 30 days on my list.
NOTE: Just a quick note to point out that while it’s amazing that Kartra gives us data like how much each subscriber is worth and their lifetime value, this isn’t 100% accurate for my business because we also sell through Shopify. And that isn’t counted towards these numbers.
While this work wasn’t immediately revenue-generating, it’s the foundation that will allow me to scale more efficiently and make better data-driven decisions moving forward.
Good systems reduce mental load. When I don’t have to remember to track sales or follow up with customers, I have more brain space for strategy and creativity.

Despite working less (like, a LOT less), my revenue increased in April. This is the magic of designing your business to support life as a neurodivergent business owner—not the other way around. When your systems are solid, you don’t have to show up perfectly. You just have to show up when and how you can.

🤷♀️ Ad Performance Plateau
My Facebook ads hit a plateau mid-month, with CPLs climbing higher than I’d like and ROAS hovering around 0.44-0.57 after 45 days. While my long-term customer LTV justifies these numbers, it was frustrating to see the immediate returns dip.
🤷♀️ Content Creation Took a Backseat
With all my focus on backend systems and family commitments, I published fewer blog posts and created less new content than usual. My traffic dipped as a result, dropping to 9.8k pageviews compared to previous months.
🤷♀️ The “Half-Working, Half-Resting” Trap
I caught myself in what I call “half-working, half-resting” mode—not fully present for either work or relaxation. This left me feeling neither productive nor refreshed.

Each month, I feature one question about online business from a reader. Submit your question in the comments and I’ll answer one next month!
Q: How do you decide what to delegate vs. what to keep doing yourself?
A: I ask myself: “Is this the best use of my brain right now?” If the answer is no, and it’s something that can be systematized or taught to someone else, it goes on the delegation list.
Customer service emails? Delegate. Strategic planning for new offers? Keep. Writing sales copy? Keep (though I’m experimenting with AI assistance). Updating spreadsheets? Delegate.
The key is being honest about what only you can do vs. what you just prefer to control. Control is expensive. Choose wisely.

May taught me that sustainable success isn’t about perfect productivity—it’s about building systems that work even when life gets messy. Between school events, therapy sessions, technical deep dives, and family time, this month looked nothing like a traditional “hustle” approach to business.
And yet, I hit 365 consecutive days of daily sales. I maintained a 78% profit margin. I built systems that will serve my business for years to come. I was present for my kids’ important moments. I invested in my mental health and relationships.
This is what success with soul actually looks like: messy, imperfect, deeply human, and ultimately sustainable.
The biggest shift I’m making as I head into summer is trusting that my business can handle my full presence in life. I don’t need to choose between being a good mom and being a successful entrepreneur. I don’t need to sacrifice my mental health for my profit margins. I don’t need to be “on” all the time to make money.
The systems work. The foundation is solid. Now it’s time to enjoy the life this business was designed to support.
If you’re building your own version of success with soul, remember: consistency beats perfection, systems beat hustle, and your life is not the price you pay for your business—it’s the reason you built it in the first place.
If you’d like a closer look at how I make daily sales without social media, consider joining me in The $1K-a-Day Experiment for unfiltered insights and access to my evolving strategies.
I have three main systems working 24/7:
(1) An evergreen email funnel that nurtures subscribers and makes offers automatically
(2) SEO-optimized blog content that brings in new traffic daily
(3) automated upsells and cross-sells that increase order value.
The key is building systems that work whether I’m online or not.
Start with email marketing. Build a simple 5-7 email welcome sequence that provides value and makes one soft offer. This single system can generate 20-30% of your revenue once it’s set up. Everything else is secondary until you have this foundation.
From there, I would say follow the money. Build systems that directly impact revenue first: email marketing, sales tracking, and customer follow-up. Everything else (social media automation, fancy dashboards, complex funnels) can wait until you have consistent income flowing.
Over-engineering everything. I spent weeks perfecting Airtable dashboards that were already functional. Start with “good enough” systems that work, then optimize later. Perfect systems that never get finished don’t make you any money.
