As part of the $1K/Day Experiment, I’m continuing my monthly Income Reports for Success with Soul about business systems for consistent revenue without social media. Today I’m sharing how I balanced family time, business growth, and personal development in March while still generating consistent revenue.

Welcome to the 6th installment of my Income Reports—part of The $1K/Day Experiment, my behind-the-scenes journey to making $1,000 per day in passive product sales without relying on social media.
If you’re new here, these reports are equal parts income transparency and behind-the-scenes business therapy. Think: if your business journal and your bank account had a baby, and that baby loved spreadsheets and truth bombs.
March was a month of growth and balance. After February’s experimentation phase, I found myself settling into a more consistent rhythm with my business while still making time for family, personal development, and some much-needed rest.
If March had a theme, it would be integration. I spent the month implementing what I learned from February’s experiments, particularly with Meta ads and AI tools, while also focusing on delivering value to my existing clients and nurturing my email list.
I found my flow, leaned into what was working, and gave myself some damn grace on the days when everything felt a little too… March.
We’re talking:
All while still making consistent daily sales. IYKYK, this is the dream.
Let’s dig into the details, key takeaways, and what I focused on in March to grow my revenue while honoring my capacity and priorities.
Note: While these posts are public for anyone to read, if you want to get an even deeper look into exactly what I’m doing in my business to make consistent daily sales without ever posting on social media then I invite you to grab your unfiltered backstage pass here.
I’m thrilled to report that my revenue increased by 26% compared to February, while my profit margin improved from 64.8% to 68.53%. This growth came despite continuing to invest in Meta ads testing, which shows that my overall business strategy is becoming more effective.
The most exciting part of this month’s numbers is seeing the growth in my recurring revenue streams. The Room membership has been steadily growing, and I SURPASSED my goal of 100 active members, which would mean $10,000 in monthly recurring revenue just from this one offer. Of course everyone’s first month is just $7, so we’ll have to see how churn shakes out next month.
My low-ticket passive products also saw significant growth this month, with sales increasing by over 500% compared to February. This validates my strategy of offering multiple entry points at different price levels to meet my audience where they are.
Let’s start with what you all were actually buying this month, because nothing screams “data-driven CEO” like product sales spreadsheets and celebratory snacks (I’m partial to chocolate-covered sea salt pistachios from Trader Joe’s, if you’re curious).
My top sales by product were:
My top sales by revenue earned were:
These are the underdogs that really deserve more credit!
Note: this screenshot comes from Fathom Analytics, which I much prefer to GA4.
March brought 16,400+ pageviews, up from 12.9k in February. That’s a 27% increase without a single post on Instagram or Facebook.
This bump came from a combo of:
I wish my Direct/Unknown traffic would break down accurately, because I know those are not truly all people who just type my URL into their browser. My hypothesis? A lot of that “Direct” traffic is actually email clicks that isn’t tracking properly, especially because I know I’ve got a juicy email welcome sequence that pushes folks back to my site
My top-performing pages were:
Interestingly, the MBA sales page wasn’t in the Top 5 for the first time all year, which is interesting because we kept to our average of MBA brining it right around $5,400/month.
Note: this screenshot comes from my dashboard in Kartra.
March was another strong month for email list growth, with a significant number of new subscribers joining through my Meta ads, bundles, and Get It Done Week promotions.
My Meta ads continued to perform well, bringing in leads at about $2-3 per subscriber. Actually, my evergreen webinar ad got CPL down to $1.14 (!!!) and my new tripwire/bump combos are finally converting.
I also participated in several bundles and summits this month, which brought in additional subscribers at no cost. This strategy continues to be one of my favorite ways to grow my list without social media.
NOTE: Just a quick note to point out that while it’s amazing that Kartra gives us data like how much each subscriber is worth and their lifetime value, this isn’t 100% accurate for my business because we also sell through Shopify. And that isn’t counted towards these numbers.
1. Recurring Revenue Growth
March’s Get It Done Week focused on growing your email list with bundles and summits—the exact strategy I used to gain 5,000+ new subscribers last year without social media. This event was a huge success, with:
The success of this GIDW further validates my strategy of offering high-value, implementation-focused events as a way to grow my audience and convert them into paying clients and recurring revenue.
2. Meta Ads Optimization
I continued to refine my Meta ads strategy based on February’s data and feedback from my mastermind. While I’m still not at a positive ROAS yet, I’m seeing encouraging signs:
I’m taking a long-term view with these ads, recognizing that the full value of a subscriber often takes 3-6 months to realize. I’m confident that as these leads move through my nurture sequences and see more of my offers, the ROAS will improve.
3. Balancing Work and Family
March felt like the Working Mom Olympics. Jackson was home sick (again), we had ADHD testing (a 4-hour eval) at Emory (not to mention umpteen big feelings to manage), I applied to be a foster, and I still showed up for calls, coaching, and strategy sessions.
Gotta figure out during these times what’s on your “must do list”. Things that carried me through: asynch coaching that allowed me to work whenever I could (plus, clients are getting results faster because they can implement without waiting for the next Zoom), revenue generating activities (like promos for The Room and setting up ads) and AI therapy sessions with ChatGPT in the bath (seriously!).
Add these to your to-do list if you want more passive income streams!
🤷♀️ The Room Annual Membership Promotion: After our successful Get It Done Week, I ran a promotion offering a 30% discount on the annual membership for The Room, plus a bonus Day of Voxer with me. Despite what I thought was a super compelling offer, it didn’t convert as well as expected. Like, we got 0 sales. This was a good reminder that not every promotion will be a home run, and that’s okay. I’m taking this as valuable data rather than a failure, and I’ll use these insights to refine future promotions.
Entrepreneurship is lonely. But you’re not alone anymore! Clients who show up for these calls get better results faster—period. Use the code ROOMFOR7.
🤷♀️ Balancing Deep Work and Interruptions: My calendar was Swiss cheese thanks mostly to parenting stuff, and I struggled at times to find uninterrupted deep work time. This is the reality of being a working parent, and while it can be frustrating, I’m learning to adapt my work style to accommodate these interruptions. I’m also getting better at setting realistic expectations for what I can accomplish on days when family needs take priority. (see: letting most things go).
🤷♀️ WSL Open Rate Issues: I continued to experience unusually low open rates for my Whole Soul List emails compared to my other email content. Kartra support wasn’t able to figure it out, but after a lot of digging around and troubleshooting with ChatGPT I was able to identify the cause. I added a new GIF to the email template and something about it was causing deliverability issues. I removed it and open rates shot back up to 50%+ even with a ton of new subscribers on my list.

Each month, I feature one question about online business from a reader. Submit your question in the comments and I’ll answer one next month!
Q: How do you maintain your energy and motivation when you’re balancing family needs, personal health, and business growth?
A: This is such a great question, and one I think about often! For me, it comes down to a few key practices:
First, I’ve learned to work with my natural energy cycles rather than against them. I track my menstrual cycle and plan my work accordingly—during my follicular phase when I have more energy and creativity, I focus on content creation and new projects. During my luteal phase when my energy is lower, I handle more administrative tasks or take time off if needed.
Second, I’ve become much more intentional about my schedule. I batch similar tasks together (like my Monday admin day, Tuesday client day, Wednesday writing day), which helps me stay focused and reduces the mental load of context-switching. I also protect my time fiercely with boundaries like no calls on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, and a strict 4-day workweek.
Third, I prioritize rest and self-care as non-negotiables. This isn’t just bubble baths and face masks (though those are nice too!)—it’s about making sure I’m getting enough sleep, movement, therapy and time in nature. When I’m well-rested and feeling good physically, I have so much more to give to my business and family.
Finally, I’ve built business systems that allow my business to run without requiring my constant attention. My evergreen funnels, automated email sequences, and passive income streams mean that I can take time off when family needs arise or when I’m not feeling my best, without worrying about my income taking a hit.
Remember that balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly all the time—it’s about making conscious choices about where to direct your energy based on what matters most to you in each season of life and business.
March was a month of finding my rhythm after February’s experimentation phase. I focused on implementing what I learned, refining my systems, and continuing to build a business that supports my life—not the other way around.
What I’m most proud of this month isn’t just the revenue growth, but how I achieved it: by staying true to my values, prioritizing what matters most, and continuing to build a business that works for me even when I’m not working.
Here’s what I know now that I didn’t at the start of the month:
✅ Community is everything.
The success of Get It Done Week and the growth of The Room have reinforced how much people crave connection and accountability. In a world where online business can feel isolating, creating spaces for people to come together, share their challenges, and celebrate their wins is incredibly powerful.
Plus, with AI tools like ChatGPT making information instantly accessible to everyone, the value is no longer just in the content—it’s in the implementation, accountability, and human connection. Anyone can ask ChatGPT how to get involved in bundles/summits, but they can’t ask it to look at their specific situation, provide personalized feedback, and hold them accountable (and give them rewards!) to actually doing the work. That’s why community-based offers like The Room are becoming the backbone of my business model.
✅ Systems create freedom.
The fact that I could take time off for family needs and still see my business grow is testament to the power of good systems. From automated email sequences to evergreen funnels to clear SOPs, these systems allow me to be present for what matters most without sacrificing business growth.
✅ Balance is a practice, not a destination.
There were days this month when I felt like I was nailing the work-life balance thing, and days when it all felt like too much. What I’m learning is that balance isn’t something you achieve once and for all—it’s a daily practice of making choices aligned with your values and adjusting as needed.
So here’s what I’m bringing into April:
✔️ More trust in the systems I’ve built.
✔️ More focus on community and connection.
✔️ More compassion for myself on the days when balance feels elusive.
Here’s to building a business that works for you, not the other way around.

Growing your email list without social media is totally possible (and way less exhausting). Focus on value-packed lead magnets, strategic SEO blog content, and participating in bundle giveaways and summits. Add in well-optimized Meta ads (that don’t require a social following or constant posting), and you can bring in high-quality leads on autopilot.
Start with low-ticket digital offers that solve a specific, tangible problem—like templates, workshops, or quick-start guides. Layer in tripwires, bumps, and 1-click upsells to increase average order value. Bonus: bundle them together into an “everything” offer for maximum value with minimal effort.
There’s no perfect balance, but building strong systems—like automated email sequences and evergreen funnels—gives you breathing room. Batch your work, honor your energy cycles, and get ruthless about your “must-do” list. And remember: flexibility is a feature, not a flaw, of being your own boss.
